Laser technology: The solution for cutting metal parts

There are different types of lasers used in laser cutting for metals, including diode lasers, fiber lasers and CO₂ lasers. Each type has its own characteristics and advantages, depending on the application and the material being cut.

In R&G Metal Shaping the technology used is the fiber laser, as a result we have two machines of 9 kW and 4 kW with intelligent warehouse that allows us to gain flexibility and speed in our production process.

Laser cutting application sectors:

Laser cutting is a manufacturing process that uses a highly concentrated and focused beam of light to cut materials. In the case of laser cutting for metals, a high-powered laser is used to cut metal sheets or parts into different shapes and sizes.

Laser cutting for metals is based on the ability of the laser beam to generate a large amount of heat in a very small spot, which causes the metal in that area to melt and vaporize. This then creates a slot in the metal part that can be used to separate the desired part from the rest of the material.
